MSU is home to students from 125 different countries and living on campus serves as a great introduction to living in the U.S.A. There are several living options that appeal to students from abroad including University Apartments for graduate/professional students or students with families. Owen Graduate Center is for upper-level undergraduate students and the variety of 13 residence halls houses single undergrad's. McDonel Hall is an undergraduate hall that features special programs for both domestic and international students in a quiet and respectful environment.

The new University Village Apartments, opened August 2007, provides a unique living opportunity for those students who want a private space with 4 bedrooms, sharing common living/dining kitchen areas.

If you're an incoming freshman, you apply for housing through the Office of Admissions. If you're an incoming transfer or graduate student, you can download and application and return it to us by mail.

Please fill out the following forms online, print out the filled in form and then send it to us at the address on the form. (You will not be able to save the filled in form, so be sure to print it off after you have filled it in.)

International students have unique challenges, and for that reason, we work closely with the Office of International Student Scholars and the Office of Internationalizing Student Life to help you get adjusted. Be sure to visit the Campus Life and the Resources section of this site for further information on housing, dining, employment and more. We want you to live on campus and take advantage of the convenience of living on the campus of a major research institution.
