Floor Plan: West Circle halls are steeped in history and tradition. Built on “sacred ground”, the original campus growth sprang from this area. Towering pine trees and ivy-covered halls exemplify the traditional Collegiate-Gothic style with ornamentation and decorative plaster found inside. All of the West Circle halls are coed (although Yakeley is all female) and feature community-style bathrooms. The ample study lounges are beautiful and the grounds surrounding the buildings are bursting with foliage and fountains. Some say it is like living in a mansion. These halls are located across from the MSU Union, our partner in providing great fun and food to the campus community. West Circle residents get extra special deals so be on the lookout for more info. To the south, you’re just minutes away from the IM Circle and the IM West, and near the Music building, the Library, Human Ecology, and of course, beautiful Beaumont Tower. West Circle has dining services to suit everyone and accommodate the busiest schedules. A Residence Halls Association movie office is located in Gilchrist and community police office office located in Campbell Hall. Campbell Hall Campbell Hall houses about 300 residents. There is a quiet floor for both men and women. South Campbell is smoke-free. Landon Hall Landon Hall houses about 300 residents and features a unique dining option that allows you to have your food cooked to order at the Creation Stations. Landon is also home to the Totally Takeout Express. Mayo Hall Mayo is home to 200 residents as well as the business office for the complex. There is one quiet floor for men in Mayo. Yakeley/Gilchrist Halls Yakeley-Gilchrist houses a combined 500 residents. Dining services in Yakeley give West Circle residents an alternative to Landon’s style. There are three quiet floors and one alcohol-free floor in Yakeley. In addition, Gilchrist and East Yakeley are smoke-free. There is a Honors College floor in Yakeley/Gilchrist, where the Living/Learning experience offers a diverse and lively community for talented students with shared academic and professional goals. Unique to campus, Williams is the only residence hall that has a contract for room only. While over half of the students still purchase meal plans for the convenience, you’ll have the option of cooking for yourself in the community kitchen available on each floor. Williams’ 200 residents like it that way, and so do we, another option for you. There are two quiet female floors. Williams Hall rooms are equipped with a 4 cubic foot refrigerator. |
