Students can request a variety of living options and we do everything possible to satisfy those requests. The following information will help with narrowing things down.

We encourage families to visit the halls and take a look around. To schedule a formal tour, contact the manager of the hall you wish to see.  The Admissions office and the Student Alumni Foundation (SAF) will conduct and arrange campus tours for prospective students and their families.

The Hall Assignment Process:

The first consideration is the student’s academic or Living-Learning Option.   Each Living-Learning Option has different expectations for roommate selection. Please note that the Honors College staff makes the room assignments to the Honors floors.

The second criteria is roommate selection.  Both students need to know that the chosen academic option is most important.  Roommates must request each other in writing and provide their NetIDs by May 1.  Roommates need to discuss other environmental options as well.

Third level criteria include environmental options such as quiet, smoke-free and alcohol-free.

The chart below highlights options and features of each hall. It’s not entirely inclusive, but does provide information on the major hall features.
