The East Zone invites you to experience the evolution of dining. Akers Café, Holmes Café, The Hubbard Café, and McDonel Café combine to provide a diverse variety of cuisines. In July 2008, we accepted a new directive - to provide dining experiences that are made with quality ingredients offering color, texture, fresh, and healthy alternatives; food that is visually dynamic, exciting, current, and flavorful; operations promoting local suppliers and contributing towards the sustainability of our world. Welcome to our neighborhood and watch us evolve where there is a new flavor experience everyday.

McDonel Café features a striking view overlooking the Sanford Natural Area. Lunch and dinner entrees are featured in the dining room for quick access along with an expanded salad bar. Currently in production is The Publisher - which features sandwiches you can edit, also offers “PUB” fare with wings tossed-to-order, our own special Binder French Fries and other unique, favorite items. Looking for tranquility in your dining experience, look at Bamboo for Pan-Asian cuisine and serenity as we look forward to offering true “EAST flavors” with forth coming noodle bowls and other exciting items. McDonel Café is open Monday through Thursday, 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Friday 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. It is closed Saturday and Sunday. McDonel Totally Take Out Express is open Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m to 2:00 p.m. and closed Saturday and Sunday. Visit Holmes Café or The Hubbard Café for these meals.
