The East Zone invites you to experience the evolution of dining. Akers Café, Holmes Café, The Hubbard Café, and McDonel Café combine to provide a diverse variety of cuisines. In July 2008, we accepted a new directive - to provide dining experiences that are made with quality ingredients offering color, texture, fresh, and healthy alternatives; food that is visually dynamic, exciting, current, and flavorful; operations promoting local suppliers and contributing towards the sustainability of our world. At Akers Café there is something for everyone. Open Oven offers one of the best pizza and toasted grinder operations along with its famous wedges. In the Transit, a variety of entrees and accompaniments are offered. The original Vegarian has joined The Piazza, providing both vegetarian and vegan options along with a wide selection of ingredients to create your own pasta dish. Terra Salsa Verde offers an ever-changing menu of Central and South American cuisines, including quesadillas, tortas, tacos and nachos along with many specialty items. Akers Salad Bar provides a unique theme daily with numerous items, including a great number of protein enhancers, to create your own salad. Fetishes will give you the chance to splurge every dinner on floats, shakes and malts to pleasure your sweet cravings.

Akers Café satisfies that early and late afternoon craving with numerous offerings in a very ambient dining room setting. Akers Café is open Monday through Thursday, 11:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Friday, 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. It is closed Saturday and Sunday. Please visit Holmes Café or The Hubbard Café for these meals.
