Spartan Remix
7 p.m. -10 p.m.
Remix Afterparty
10 p.m. - 2 a.m.
MSU Union
The Spartan Remix Welcome Reception aims to promote cultural pride and foster cross-cultural unity. Historically, each of the Council of Racial/Ethnic Student groups as well as the Lesbian, Gay, Bi, and Transgender student groups held separate welcome receptions.
Council of Racial/Ethnic Student Groups
- Asian Pacific American Student Organization (APASO)
- Black Student Alliance (BSA)
- Culturas de las Razas Unidas (CRU)
- North American Indigenous Student Organization (NAISO)
THIS YEAR, Spartan Remix expands on the tradition of individual group receptions by including MSU international students and scholars and continuing to create identity-specific spaces, while at the same time housing them together so that cultural uniqueness and traditions may be celebrated and also shared with others of different backgrounds or identities.
Sponsored by: OCAT, LBGTRC, MSU Union, UAB, VIPP and Humphrey Fellows/ISP, and Office of Inclusion and Intercultural Initiatives.
* Campus Center Cinemas will be closed August 28-31 due to Labor Day weekend.
