| With bold vision and an eye toward the future, the Division of Residential and Hospitality Services is undertaking or partnering on several major construction projects that are changing the face of Michigan State University, while providing new and exciting avenues for food service and student housing, as well as helping us stay current with others in the Big Ten. This Web site was designed in an effort to keep you informed about the changes that are taking place over the next couple of years. Current projects will have a construction log and photo, which will be updated about every one to two weeks. Completed projects can be viewed from the menu on the left. Please visit often to see what's new. Over the past few years, the Division of Residential and Hospitality Services has undertaken a variety of building and renovation developments. A new addition to Food Stores has allowed the MSU Bakers to work in an expanded and modernized workspace. Extensive renovations and construction at Snyder/Phillips Hall has resulted in a dramatic new three-story structure that houses not only the most popular dining venue on campus, but also classrooms and office space for the new Residential College for Arts and Humanities. The old University Village Apartments were demolished and replaced with a new complex with 67 new four-bedroom, two-bath apartments. The MSU Union renovated part of their Food Court by incorporating the past with the present, complete with new seating arrangements, flat screen TVs and Union artifacts. This last year, a number of renovation projects were completed including Holden Hall, Owen Hall and Mayo Hall. This year, the newest project is the renovation of the main building in Brody Complex. Watch as it undergoes dynamic renovations that will create an exciting new environment for all to enjoy!
